Franchesca Maia is a singer, songwriter, and actress born in London, England. She is of Russian-Jewish and Colombian descent. When Franchesca was 2 years old, she moved to Spain with her family. At the age of 9, Franchesca showed her interest in singing and acting. She then started her training with a vocal coach, performed in various theater productions, and did Film, TV, and print work in both England and Spain.

In that same year, Franchesca became the winner of a Disney Channel acting contest in Spain (chosen amongst over 8000 video submissions). The Disney Channel flew Franchesca over to Los Angeles to meet the production crew and principal cast of “Zack and Cody: The Suite Life On Deck” at the Hollywood Center Studios and made a reportage on her trip. Franchesca fell in love with California and in 2011, she finally managed to persuade her mom and step-dad to move out to Los Angeles, where she currently resides. Since then, Franchesca was cast in several short and feature films for lead and supporting roles, guest starred on a TV hit series “Deadtime Stories – Who’s Giggling Now”, shot various national commercials, and performed live at various events. Most recently, Franchesca was cast for the role of Maria in the sitcom “Mr. Robinson” that aired in 2015 on NBC.

In August 2015, Franchesca independently released her first single “Let’s Do It Again”. Since then, she had been working on her debut EP “Race” that includes 5 tracks. In 2016 Franchesca Maia formed her own independent record label known as Golden Wave Productions, Inc, and signed herself as its first artist. She later made her first release through her label. Race – EP is available now in all digital stores and streaming platforms.

In June 2016, Golden Wave Productions, Inc released another single, an EDM song called “Beyond a Summer Love”, Franchesca’s latest collaboration with a young upcoming DJ/Producer, Captain Cam. It is available now in all digital stores and streaming platforms.
